Terms of use

These terms apply when you use VideoCutterStudio, on the website or in the app. The service is offered by VideoCutterStudio. By making an account or using the service, you agree to them. Questions? Use our contact form or email info@videocutterstudio.com.
Your account
- Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens with your account.
- New accounts may need to be approved by us before they can be used.
- The demo account is shared and is cleared from time to time; don't keep anything important in it.
- You can delete your account at any time (see the privacy policy).
Plans and payments
- Paid plans are bought through Gumroad. Gumroad handles the payment and receipt; their terms apply to the purchase.
- What a plan includes (storage, number of videos, features, watermark) is shown on the plans page when you choose it.
- Memberships renew until you cancel them in Gumroad. When a membership ends, your account moves back to the free plan; your videos stay, but limits of the free plan apply.
- Something wrong with a payment, or want your money back? Email us; we'll sort it out fairly. Your legal rights as a consumer always apply.
Your videos stay yours
Everything you upload, record or make stays yours. We only store and process it to run the service for you (cutting, subtitles, exports). We don't publish it, show it to others, or use it for anything else.
What's not allowed
- Uploading anything that's illegal, or that you don't have the rights to (for example someone else's videos or music, unless you're allowed to use them).
- Content that sexually exploits children, promotes violence or terrorism, or harasses or threatens people.
- Trying to break into the service, other accounts or our server, or overloading it on purpose.
- Selling or sharing access to your account.
If we have a serious suspicion of illegal content, we may look at the content involved (this is logged) and block or delete the account. Where the law requires it, we report it to the authorities.
Availability
We do our best to keep VideoCutterStudio running, but we can't promise it's always available or free of errors. It's sometimes offline for a short while for maintenance or updates. Keep your own copy of videos that matter to you: download your exports.
Liability
The service is offered as it is. We're not liable for indirect damage, such as lost files, lost income or missed deadlines, unless the damage was caused on purpose or by gross negligence. In any case, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing here limits rights you have by law as a consumer.
Changes and ending
- We may change the service and these terms. Important changes are announced by email or in the app before they apply.
- We may close accounts that break these terms. If we ever stop the service, we'll let you know in time so you can download your videos.
Law
Dutch law applies to these terms. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless the law gives you the right to go to a court where you live.
